More volume and less pick noise.
The Gold Series is the premium line offered by Gravity Picks. The material is a high grade thermoplastic which is amazingly wear-resistant. There is a sizable difference in volume when compared with a normal pick, enabling you to cut through the mix.
I’ve been playing guitar over 40 years and mandolin, mandola, octave mandolin, banjolin, resonators and mandocello for over 12 years. I’ve tried EVERY pick material there is.
The PEEK Gravity Gold picks give me the best tone, grip and speed of all of them. I just hear the notes - clear, pure, no pick noise, click or squeak. Better sustain as well.
I got the axis, striker and Tripp. I primarily play mandolin and these have to be the best picks for me. They have zero pick noise, no click, just pure tone. I’ve bought about every kind of Pick there is on the market, and I’ll definitely buy more gravity golds. Best pick I’ve used to date
I accidentally ordered the mini, meant to order the standard. I really like the mini pick, will order more.
Previously I had purchased acrylic Gravity picks and I was very happy, volume and articulation were good and they became my everyday picks. I wanted to see what was the difference with the Gold picks, I must say I am impressed. The pick slides over the strings even better than acrylics and the sound is warmer, perfect for my jazz guitar. In general I am totally satisfied and will purchase more for sure. To make the picks totally perfect they would just need to polish the bevel to make it more round instead of a hard bevel.
The sharp edge of the pick would be improved with a speed bevel.
