POLISHED VS MASTER FINISH
The bevels on each pick are shaped on a grinding wheel which creates rough bevels. Those bevels are then polished or left unpolished (which we call ‘Master Finish’).
The Polished version glides across the strings with very little effort.
The Master Finish (unpolished) version is a bit brighter and creates a different release off the string. It allows you to ‘dig in’ a bit more. It is just a personal preference.
The minimum thickness for the grip holes is 2mm. We cannot offer the grip holes in the 1.5mm thickness because they can break easily. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please try the 2mm. Most players are able to adjust up to the 2mm.
Having played for over 50 years now (boy, that makes me sound old!), and having used lots of different picks over the years, the ONLY ones I buy now are Gravity Picks, and have since I was first introduced to them about 10 years ago when the company started.
I just bought some Acrylic Picks Standard Multi (I thought I was buying Classic Standard). The holes help to keep a good grip, and as with all Gravity Picks, they glide easily across the strings and I like the tone that I get from my guitar using them, which is why they are my pick of choice... but I prefer the shape of the Classic Standard.
These are my preferred picks
Gravity picks are my absolute fave. I usually get extra large triangle strikers. I tried the standard size when a sale came around, and they're a bit small for me but good for those squealing notes you want with electric. I use Gravity for acoustic too, and the tone is just right.
Best pick over ever over my 50year career
