More volume and less pick noise.

The Gold Series is a premium material offered by Gravity Picks. The material is a high grade thermoplastic which is amazingly wear-resistant. There is a sizable difference in volume when compared with a normal pick, enabling you to cut through the mix.

Gold Picks Big Mini Tripp

I first tried offerings from Blue Chip. They really ticked me off when I said something less than positive about their thumb pick when it snapped in half. Their flat picks are good, but they're really really expensive and they're not like what you find at Gravity. Also, it took a while to settle on the Big Mini Tripp design. I often play with the Standard Tripp, but the control I get with a smaller form factor makes a noticeable difference. Worth crediting Gravity with the Tripp design. You'll find products that are close, but I haven't seen one with the fine tip Chris produces (by hand). My go-to pick is a 2mm Acrylic Big Mini Tripp with the Master Finish. I like mine with the standard sized hole. This particular pick I'm reviewing is more of a regular flat pick ... 1.0mm and no special grip. The advantage it has over my go-to choice is that it makes less of a scratching noise ... and sometimes that's preferable. I would probably buy another if I lost this one. That said, I may have purchased the last one that's ever going to be sold. I can no longer find them on the website. Glad this thing looks as durable as a Blue Chip. At my age, it may be the last one I ever need.
Cheers,
Chris

Just perfect

Whatever its made of, its one of those super plastics a la Vespel, truly non wearing and so many sizes/shapes. Couldn't recommend it more!

Loud, less/different pick 'attack' and lasts longer.

I LIKE to play with the acrylic picks...but this just SOUNDS BETTER...and lasts WAY longer.

Still the best

The Gold series, while pricy, are still the best in terms of longevity and the sunrise and stealth 1.5 big minis top the lot. Superb definition, clarity and articulation as well as durability.

New favorite pick

Looking over my new big mini I realized I should have gotten a shape I was more familiar with. I was able to return the unused big mini for a striker gold. Using the same size as my Blue Chip I was able to make a direct comparison. GRAVITY picks rocks. Thanks for a great product. Fast, slick and smooth string response!

Great picks!

I bought the Standart Gold Picks as a gift now the second time and my boyfriend is very satisfied with the picks. He said they have a excellent grip on the fingers and the on the guitar. The sound of the gold picks is warmer as acrilic pick sound and so he prefers the Gold Series.
