I really liked the Gravity pick included with a JHS pedal, but I lost it. Then I got another one and thought, "What else does Gravity make?" The variety overwhelmed me a bit - which one for me? To experiment, I went with a Best Sellers bundle. And so far, it's been a grand experiment. I've stumbled on a few new favorite designs, and I haven't even tried half of them. One really stood out as an all-arounder; another has taken my speed-picking drills up a few BPM. The different finishes really interact in a range of ways with the strings.
Put another way: If you want to unpack a variety of tones, I think this pack of picks might punch above what another drive or modulation pedal is going to deliver. These picks just feel faster, more precise, almost intimate when interacting with the strings.
