POLISHED VS MASTER FINISH
The bevels on each pick are shaped on a grinding wheel which creates rough bevels. Those bevels are then polished or left unpolished (which we call ‘Master Finish’).
The Polished version glides across the strings with very little effort.
The Master Finish (unpolished) version is a bit brighter and creates a different release off the string. It allows you to ‘dig in’ a bit more. It is just a personal preference.
The minimum thickness for the grip holes is 2mm. We cannot offer the grip holes in the 1.5mm thickness because they can break easily. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please try the 2mm. Most players are able to adjust up to the 2mm.
Acrylic Picks Standard Single
These picks a dynamic, expressive, and feel great. Ever since I switched to gravity picks I have never used a different pick.
Wonderful pick. Never falls from the hand, and the thickness (which after getting used to) is now the new normal for me. Standard picks feel very small in my hand now. The Master Finish (rough edges) are a part of my tone, and have been since I started using Gravity Picks 5 years ago. Weel designed and made pick! I think I may try the 6mm next...
These are really good picks. The selection of shapes and thicknesses is unmatched. But as other companies start to offer similar products with comparable size selections at a considerably lower price, it might be time to start altering your pricing. I just can't afford to keep buying $9 guitar picks when a 70 cent version is available.
To me it looks like it would be hard to hold and I never thought to try one for this reason. But it isn't and the grip is tackier than the Dunlop Tortex. Thank you for sending 2 with my order.
