The Axis shape is a tri-sided pick with most rounded tips we offer. This essentially gives you 3 picks in one. Nothing wrong about that. Rounded tips create a softer, less bright tone compared to pointed tips. This creates the softest tone for all our acrylic picks. The rounded corners glide through the strings with ease. The Striker and Stealth are also tri-sided models, with the Stealth being the most pointed and the Striker in between.
There are 4 sizes: Mini (Jazz size), Big Mini, Standard (Traditional size) and XL.
Mini: .96" wide, .93" tall
Big Mini: 1.06" wide, 1.02" tall
Standard: 1.16" wide, 1.12" tall
XL: 1.26" wide, 1.22" tall
There are also several grip holes to choose from. Grip holes are not available for the 1.5mm thickness.
There are many variations combining size, thickness, grip holes and choice of polished bevels. There is definitely a pick for every guitar player.
The bevels on each pick are shaped on a grinding wheel which creates rough bevels. Those bevels are then polished or left unpolished (which we call ‘Master Finish’).
The Polished version glides across the strings with very little effort.
The Master Finish (unpolished) version is a bit brighter and creates a different release off the string. It allows you to ‘dig in’ a bit more. It is just a personal preference.

I bought two of the same picks, but each had different edges. I did this on purpose to see which I'd prefer. I do not like the unpolished edge, but that's nothing bad about the product that Gravity puts out. Both are well made, shipped fast are good looking and feeling picks.
I bought a variety of 3mm and 4mm shapes to see which picks I would like best, and I’ve liked them all. My current favorite is this Axis shape. Gravity picks will be my go to picks moving forward. Coming from Dunlop Flow Jumbos.
Love this Gravity Axis standard. For years the point of my pick would land towards the back of my hand, in a constant twirl to get it out of the way. Now no point, no problem.
