I can honestly say that for me, the sunrise 1.5mm is the perfect guitar pick. The tone is incredible, the grip is fantastic, and even though it seems expensive at first, as long as you keep up with it, you’re getting your money’s worth. I’ve been using the same pick for about a year now, I believe. I think the only downside is that it doesn’t indefinitely retain its edge. Some players like how a pick forms to their playing, but I personally don’t. I enjoy the snap, punch, and immediacy of a freshly cut Gravity pick. This is a sad truth for all guitar picks though, they wear down. (Maybe Gravity could offer a re-beveling service?) Considering that I probably would’ve spent $20-$40 in Jazz III’s a couple years ago, and surely would have lost each and every one of them by now, I consider this Gravity pick to be money well spent.

what an absolutely fabulous and amazing pick! the sunrise big mini 1.5 and 2.5 are my choice, particularly as they work so well on all my guitars. the clarity and articulation one can achieve at fast tempo on a nylon string with the 1.5 is nothing short of breathtaking. i use a hybrid of scalpel and wrist technique with the pick angled at around 80 degrees. it makes the distance between the strings smaller and thus less effort needed, with gravity acrylics this was great, but a little noisy on the wound strings for a few days. with the gravity gold however is is very little fret noise, i can play rest strokes or free strokes, economy or alternate picking and sweeping jazz chords is great too. the pick goes thru the strings like butter. i trained as a classical guitarist too and the tone of this pick competes very well with a finely bevelled and shaped nail. i’ve even been playing some Bach violin partitas.
i used wegen picks for a while so i’m not averse to shelling out for boutique picks, but this one is clearly the best i’ve ever tried, day after day after day! currently i’m seeing how long a 1.5 will last just on nylon strings for 3 or 4 hours a day speed picking. so far 1 month and very little wear!
thanks gravity. this is an absolutely stunning breakthrough, willy wonka style!!

Gold Series Sunrise is all I use now. I played V-picks for many years, they were great but wore down way too fast. The feel and tone of the Golds is better than any picks I have used in the past 47 years of playing. Simply, the best.

Not worth the price of admission and certainly nothing special. Also it came in fairly scratched up. Would have rather gotten more chapman picks.

Just received two more Gravity Gold Series picks. Nice feel, great sound, no pick noise. I’ve been using one for about a year and a half – still in great shape. Definitely worth the money!

I had to eat crow on this pick. After freaking out about what I thought were several picks for $20 and getting one, I tried it. Um yeah, $20 per pick is expensive for sure but these picks just glide over the strings. Your picking accuracy will improve dramatically. Crow tastes like ass but these picks are awesome.

The Rob Chapman Signature pick is perfect for me. I have about 30 Gravity Picks, and ten of them are Rob Chapmans. I never want to run out. Not only is the rough edge perfect for me, Rob’s signature on the pick gives extra grip. I love them all though.

I like my Gold Series Tripp for acoustic guitar playing. Looking at a Striker for my electrics!
